Kylin Network offers any applications and blockchains (such as parachains and parathreads) instantaneous but reliable and valid on/ off-chain market data and social data sources by leveraging the power of Polkadot/Substrate Framework on open networks.
Existing Problem and Our Solution
KKylin
Accessible data querying and data analytics services are needed.
0)
Legacy oracles incur high costs and difficulties in feeding off-chain data.
Substrate offers a better framework and developing toolkit.
The interoperability and scalability of Polkadot exceeds that of Ethereum.

Overview
Kylin Network provides a state-of-art solution to solve the above problems. The architecture of Kylin Network includes the below four major components:
Kylin Data Analytics is a combination of analytic tools designed for data warehouses. It provides a query engine and RESTful API for third-party applications and external analytics tools.
Kylin Data Oracle is an advanced decentralized data feeding protocol powered by Polkadot/Substrate offering multiple, real-time data sources with complementarity to and synergy with offchain workers.
Kylin Data Marketplace is an open platform for data exchange and pricing. Dapps built on Polkadot can easily and efficiently collect both offchain and on-chain data, only paying a very competitive fee.
Kylin Token $KYL is the native token of Kylin Network which will play the role of governance and other utilities. $KYL is necessary to secure and power the decentralized data network.

Data Oracle
K Kylin
Kylin Oracle encompasses five entities, including Data Consumer, Data Warehouse, Oracle Node, Arbitration Node, and Blockchain Node. These five entities represent the major components of Kylin's architecture.
Data Consumer
Data Warehouse
Data consumers may represent smart contracts, APIs, blockchains, protocols, applications or any data repository.
Data Warehouse(DW) in Kylin Protocol is a decentralised on-chain repository of integrated data from one or more disparate data sources such as Oracle Nodes and the Arbitration Nodes.

Oracle Node(Miner)
Arbitration
Blockchain Node(Validator)
Oracle Node handles all the data requests such as social data and market data from separate off-chain data sources, and signing the transactions of the Kylin parachain.
Arbitration Node guarantees the security and accuracy of external data by verifying the data integrity and the validity that Oracle Node provided.
Data Warehouse(DW) in Kylin Protocol is a decentralised on-chain repository of integrated data from one or more disparate data sources such as Oracle Nodes and the Arbitration Nodes.

Intermediary of Exchange: KYL tokens will be used to pay as a transaction, query fee, and also for data access
behind paywall (private APIs).
On-chain Governance: KYL Token holders are able to vote for the protocol upgrades and parameter changes on
Kylin Network.

O Security for everyone
Polkadot's novel data availability and validity scheme allows chains to interact with each other in a meaningful way. Chains remain independent in their governance, but united in their security.
O True interoperability
Polkadot enables cross-blockchain transfers of any type of data or asset, not just tokens. Connecting to Polkadot gives you the ability to interoperate with a wide variety of blockchains in the Polkadot network.
WHO WII

User-driven network governance Polkadot has a sophisticated governance system where all stakeholders have a voice. Upgrades to the network are coordinated on-chain and enacted autonomously, ensuring that Polkadot's development reflects the values of the community and avoids stagnation.

O Economic & transactional scalability
Polkadot provides unprecedented economic scalability by enabling a common set of validators to secure multiple blockchains. Polkadot provides transactional scalability by spreading transactions across multiple parallel blockchains.

Kylin Real-time Transport Protocol (KRTP)
The blockchain will employ the Kylin Real-time Transport Protocol (KRTP), a profile of the Real-time Transport Protocol (RTP), which provides confidentiality, message and data authentication, and replay protection to the RTP traffic and to the control traffic for RTP, the Real-time Transport Control Protocol (RTCP).
Kylin Transport Access Control (KTAC)
KTAC approach can easily be generalized to protect many different types of commercial applications. KTAC features include permission control and confidentiality, un-linkable identity privacy for blockchain participants, a modular and easily auditable consensus protocol, and improved scalability.

Challenger Dispute
In order to prevent malicious quotations from affecting Kylin Oracle's external price inquiry service, we design a challenge mechanism. Any arbitrator can challenge the quotation from miners. Challenges and quotations need to stake KYL.
Challenge success, rewarded with 20% token slashed
If the arbitrator succeeds in the challenge, he will be rewarded with 20% KYL slashed from the staking of miners. If the challenge fails, the challenger will lose the staked KYL, and the KYL will be burnt directly. The arbitration standard for quotation is that the quotation price does not deviate from the real-time price at the time of quotation by 5%.

Weight
The Kylin Network Mainnet token KYL is necessary to secure and power the decentralized data network. The use-cases and utility of KYL include but not limited to:

Staking Amount Percentile
On-chain Governance: $KYL Token holders are able to vote for the protocol upgrades and parameter changes on Kylin Network.
Kylin Network will make settings on different weights on different staking amount ranking: Optimal Ranking Zone Model (ORZ). The staking amount ranking is based on the jump ranking weighting algorithm rather than the weighted average of the nodes staking amount. This is to avoid the control of KYL by a few people, avoid monopoly, and break up large nodes.
